I take home Two Froggies

One of the cool things about the Albuquerque geocaching scene is an annual event for awarding Geocaches honors. As it says on the event page, "Hollywood has its Oscars and we in metro Albuquerque have our Froggies". This year's event, GC817Z0, as with previous years I had a few of my caches nominated for awards. There are a dozen or more award categories including best Traditional, Best Mystery, Best Terrain 3+, Best Camo... etc... The past few years I have had a cache nominated in a few categories, but I never get enough votes to win. I am proud of my caches, and I like to think that this is because they just aren't vsited by enough geocachers. Many of my geocaches seldom get logs, an in order for a cache to win it needs to receive the most votes from fellow geocaches, most of whom are in the ABQ area. So I'm never really surprised that I do not win. This year, my two nominations were Sword of Damocles in the Terrain 3+ category, and Juggling in the Mystery Cache category. And despite neither of them having many finds, I won both categories! This was especially nice because I had made the drive down to Albuquerque after work just to attend this event. It feels really good to have some of my geocache hides recognized by the Albuqurque community.

I'm going to post a little graphic on each cache exclaiming the cache's win!
